Dive Travel Asia’s affiliated with Southern Thailand’s only certified CMAS Technical training center. CMAS technical programs are constructed around the whole CMAS system, so entering a CMAS Tec course basically requires the diver to be a qualified CMAS diver. CMAS Tec courses follow the same structure as most other agencies to the exception of the lack of decompression and extend range courses, which are part of the *** star diver course.

The CMAS Nitrox Diver course teaches students the
required skills and knowledge to conduct dives using enriched air "Nitrox" to a
maximum mix of 40% oxygen. The course is conducted over a two day period and
introduces divers to the additional physiological problems associated with
diving with gases other than air. The course also teaches students about unique
equipment problems and considerations that they will encounter and the special
dive planning procedures that they will have to incorporate into future dive
planning. The course is also prepares divers to further their diving knowledge
and experience before taking the Advanced Nitrox Course.

The CMAS Qualified Nitrox Diver Course is designed to give
students a good understanding of the techniques used in using Nitrox as a
bottom gas and decompression mix, with students learning how to use up to 100%
oxygen for decompression. The course also looks more deeply into the
physiological problems that divers encounter when using higher percentage
nitrox mixtures and pure oxygen. Your instructor will go through the special
dive planning and equipment considerations that nitrox diving brings. The
course is conducted over 6 days and includes 6 open water dives under the close
supervision of one of our experienced technical diving instructor.
The CMAS Trimix Diver Course is conducted over an 8 day
period and requires student divers to complete six training dives. The course
looks at giving the diver a good understanding of Trimix, its uses, problems,
safety considerations and the special equipment required for its use. Your
instructor will also look in detail at the additional physical problems that
can occur during dives on Trimix. Trimix diving also involves huge amount of technical and mental pre-dive
preparations, and your experienced instructor will teach you the best
techniques to overcome these barriers.
I started off with a 1 day Discover Scuba Diving course, and enjoyed it so much that I have been back to Phuket 4 times now to continue diving with Alex and have now reached Advanced Open Water Level.As well as also being a keen diver Alex’s wife Sopit is a fantastic person to know! She has a great knowledge of the Island and with her degree in tourism, will try to help you with anything you need to know when it comes to fun out with scuba diving!
