NAUI became the first scuba diving certification to offer
the complete range of diver courses when they introduced the NAUI Technical
programs into their diver education system. The courses are designed to dive
student divers who are already familiar with the NAUI teaching philosophy,
access to ever increasing popular world of technical diving. With courses from
basic nitrox all the way to trimix and closed circuit rebreathers and
everything in-between, there is a course suited to everyone. Here at Dive
Travel Asia, our team of highly qualified technical instructors will be on hand
to guide you through the demanding, yet highly rewarding of technical diving.

The NAUI Technical EANx Diver Course is taught over four
days and consists of knowledge development sessions in the classroom as well as
four open water dives on Nitrox. The course aims at teaching students on using
nitrox mixes from 21-80% oxygen on dive no deeper than 40m (130 feet) that do
not require stage decompression. The course is often taught in conjunction with
the Decompression Techniques Diver Course.
Price Includes: 6 Boat Dives and Gas Mixes and Manual Price Excludes: Equipment Hire and Certification Costs
For divers wishing to continue in technical diving, this
course is an absolute must. The course teaches divers how to plan and execute
stage decompression dives. The course is conducted over four days and includes
six open water training dives to a maximum depth of 55m (180 feet). Your
instructor will teach you the various equipment requirement and configurations,
as well as the nitrox gas mixtures and oxygen that you will utilize during the
course. This course is often combined with the Technical EANx Diver, Technical
Wreck Penetration or Extended Range Diver courses, when combined additional
days and dives are required for certification.
The NAUI Extended Range Diver Course is designed at
providing students with specialized training required to conduct dives to a
maximum depth of 55m (180 feet), using air or nitrox for staged decompression.
This course is conducted over six days and requires student's divers to
complete six open water dives. This course is commonly combined with the
Decompression Techniques Diver Course.
The NAUI Technical Wreck Penetration Diver Course is
designed to help divers combine their technical diving skills with deep wreck
penetration. The course examines the skills and knowledge required by divers
wishing to dive on wrecks deeper than 40m (130 feet). This intensive course
takes place over six days and consists of knowledge development sessions in the
classroom and eight open water dives.
The Trimix Diver Course consists of two levels, level 1 and
level 2. These courses have been combined to give you all of the necessary
knowledge and skills to enable you to utilize helium based gas mixes to conduct
dives to a maximum depth of 75m (250 feet). The dives will require staged
decompression using nitrox or oxygen as decompression gases.
This intensive course takes twelve days to complete and
requires students to complete numerous knowledge development sessions, exams,
as well as 14 open water dives.
Trimix diving involves a high level of mental and physical conditioning,
please be aware that this can be a demanding course, but ultimately a hugely
rewarding one.
Certification Level – NAUI Technical EANx Diver and Decompression Techniques Diver or equivalent
Required Dives – 250 Logged Dives (75 of which need to be deeper than 40m/130feet) and 10 of which must have been on best mix EANx, utilizing stage decompression techniques.
The NAUI Semi-Closed Rebreather Course teaches divers to be
able to dive to a maximum of 30m (100 feet) using enriched air nitrox mixtures
of between 32-80%. The course takes three days to complete and includes 4 open
water dives. Your experienced instructor will train you in the analysis of your
breathing gas mixes, buoyancy control skills, rescue scenarios on convulsing
divers, hypoxia, flooded system and how to handle out of air situations,
including the use of redundant air supply system. You and your instructor will
also look at flushing the counter lung, ascents with reels and pre and post
dive equipment checks. The course also involves come classroom work, with
topics covered looking into physics, physiology, equipment, dive tables,
narcosis depth, gas management and dive planning procedures.
The NAUI Closed-Circuit Rebreather Course is a four day
course consisting of knowledge development sessions and 6 open water dives on a
rebreather unit. The course is designed to let the already trained nitrox diver
learn the skills necessary to use a closed-circuit rebreather while using
nitrox. The course is a no-stop decompression course, with a maximum depth
limit set to 30m (100 feet).
This is a great course for all technical divers and those
interested in technical diving. This two day course teaches students how to
prepare various mixed gases for diving, and the safety precautions and special equipment that is required to mix gases safely. During the course you
will actually prepare a various gas mixtures in a safe controlled environment. This
is course is often combined with other NAUI Tech course.
