The PADI Adventure Diver course is designed as a stepping stone in between the PADI Open Water Course and the PADI Advanced Open Water Course . Divers wishing to take the course are required to choose three elective dives from the list below. These dives are exactly the same as those taken during the PADI Advanced Open Water program, except you only need to complete three not five.

The elective dives you can choose are :

• Deep Dive (compulsory for Advanced Open Water Course)
• Navigation Dive (compulsory for Advanced Open Water Course)
• Peak Performance Buoyancy
• Wreck Dive
• Night Dive
• Underwater Naturalist
• Underwater Photography
• FISH ID
• Multilevel / Computer Dive
• Diver Propulsion Vehicle

Divers can choose any three of these dives is accompanied by a chapter and knowledge review in the Adventures in Diving manual. Before each dive your instructor will go through your knowledge review answers and then conduct on extensive pre-dive briefing, covering what will be expected of you during the dive. Once all three dives have been completed, your instructor will issue students with a PADI Adventure Diver Certification, which can be easily upgraded to the Advanced License at any time in the future, with the completion of any two other dives. *

* note, to upgrade to PADI Advanced License , the Deep Dive and Navigation Dive must have been completed.

Beware

Please remember that when you are choosing a place to do your diving course, it is not the center that is important, but the instructor. Many of the large dive centers employ inexperienced instructors, and you want to avoid this at all costs. If you are unsure please ask the center who your instructor will be and ask to see their qualifications. Here at Dive Travel Asia, the instructors that we use have a minimum of 1000 dives, and must have been an instructor for at least 5 years.
