Planning and organizing wreck diving trips on wrecks, which are in a similar environment to that of the one on which you were trained. 4. Identify hazards associated with wreck penetration, and demonstrate the procedures used to minimize these hazards. During your course your instructor will help you understand the dangers associated with wreck diving, so that you can appreciate these dangers, and enjoy the unique challenges that wreck diving offers. The King Cruiser is an ideal wreck for this course as is has everything, depth, current, hazards, penetration points and abundance of marine life, especially scorpion fish and lionfish which add even more of a challenge to wreck penetration. Students will be shown how to draw detailed maps of the wreck, which will highlight dangers, points of interest, depths and possible penetration points. Divers will also learn about penetration techniques such as, specialized fining, laying lines, equipment considerations and turning in confined environments.
