Also known as Hideaway, Barracuda Point is located off the southern tip of Similan Island number five. This is a dive site that rolls all of the different underwater landscapes of the Similan Islands into one fantastic dive site.
The dive usually begins on the large granite boulders on the southern end of the dive site. Around this area divers can often find khul’s stingrays, white tip sharks , schools of snappers and the beautiful clown trigger fish. Once divers have finished exploring the depths, a beautiful sloping coral reef awaits them in the shallower part of the site. The reef is made up of a rich tapestry of hard corals such as table corals, brain corals and staghorn corals. The shallower reef is home to colourful angelfish, lionfish and anemone fish. This site is always a pleasure to dive, with new discoveries on every dive, so make sure you have your camera ready to capture those unforgettable memories.
