Situated off the northern tip of Similan Island number 9, North Point is another great dive site dominated by large granite boulders. With depths in excess of 30 meters, this dive is best suited for intermediate divers and beyond. The enormous granite boulders, some reaching 25 meters in height, from a complex maze of swim through’s and caverns. This site is good for spotting sleeping leopard sharks, and occasionally white and black tip sharks. The caverns are home to some large groupers, and there are always batfish and barracudas hanging around out in the blue water.
As you come shallower towards the end of your dive, large areas covered with finger corals and cauliflower corals dominate the landscape. These hard corals are great places to find boxfish, puffer fish and moray eels, while Green Turtles and black banded sea snakes often make an appearance also.
