Sharkfin Reef is located off Similan Island number three, and is another site dominated by large granite boulders. The site is a good place to spot leopard sharks , white tip reef sharks and manta rays , while other large rays can be found in the deeper parts of the site. One of the highlights of the site is a large swim-through between two granite boulders that are easily the size of an average family home. Other marine creatures that can be found here include batfish, large marbled groupers, blue faced angel fish and my personal favourite the elusive clown trigger fish. Divers should be watchful of their depth on this site, as the outer boulders sit in excess of 40 meters of water, and currents can be very strong.
