| How do I get to Phi Phi? |

| From Phuket there are several boats that leave to Phi Phi each day at 8am and 1pm. Tickets can be bought from any tour operator in Phuket. |

| Can we arrive to the island from Krabi?

| Yes, there are two boats leaving from the main pier just outside Krabi town. Check with local travel/tour operator for scheduling. |

| Are there different seasons on Phi Phi Island? |

| Yes, the high season is from November until March, then low season from April until October. During the low season the weather remains very warm, with the occasional showers (especially from August to October). The sea tends to be rougher during this period also. |

| It is possible to dive during the low season? |
 |

| Yes, dive trips run year round. Phi Phi has many protected dive sites which still offer great diving during the low season months. Although the sea’s can be rougher, the island is a lot quieter and the dive boats and sites are less busy. |

| What is the electricity supply on the island? |

| Electrical supply is 220 volt / 50 cycles. The power socket needed is the two pin, and adapters are available at any international airport. |

| What medical facilities are there on Phi Phi Island? |

| Phi Phi has a small medical centre with a resident doctor and nurses. The island also has several pharmacies for minor troubles. For any major problems, Phuket has two international standard hospitals, and is only an hours speedboat trip away. |

| What about Decompression Facilities? |

| Phuket has three decompression chambers, if an emergency arises, a speedboat will transfer people to Phuket which takes under 1 hour. |

| Is there any transport on the island? |

| Apart from the odd push bike your feet are your only transport on the island. No noisy bikes or cars! |

| You should take the normal precautions, like on any other journey. Malaria prophylaxis is not necessary. Phuket has 3 international hospitals in case you should require any medical assistance. |

| Where can I change money? |

| Thailand's Currency is the Thai Baht, and can be exchanged on arrival at Phuket/Krabi airport. The exchange rate towards the British Pound (£) is around 70 Baht for 1 pound£, US$ is around 40 Baht for 1 US$ and about 50 Baht to 1 Euro€. Commercial banks, currency exchanges, ATM Machines, and major hotels provide currency exchange services. Credit cards are widely accepted. |

| What can we buy on Phi Phi Island? |

| The main town has many small shops selling clothes, souvenirs, drinks etc. There also plenty of places to pick up cd’s and DVD’s. |

| We have always used bottled water, which is readily available across the island. |

| I watched the news and it said Phi Phi Island has been wiped-out. Is this true? |

| Phi Phi Island was one of the worst hit areas in Thailand. Over the last three year’s there has been a tremendous effort by the local people, and volunteers to try and put the island back on its feet again. Phi Phi is back, and has again become one of Asia’s most popular beach destinations. |

| What is the quality of the diving and snorkeling like? |

| The diving and snorkeling in Phi Phi is still world class. The tsunami only caused minimal damage to Phi Phi’s main reefs and the marine life seems unaffected. Phi Phi still remains one of the best places in the world for seeing leopard sharks, rays and over 800 other species of marine life. |

| I have seen the movie "The Beach" can I still go to Maya Bay where this was filmed? |

| Yes, Maya Bay is located on Phi Phi Leh, the island due south of the main island. As this island is a National Park, visitors will need to pay 200 Baht to go onto the beach. But be warned due to the international success of the movie, this beach has become very popular and can be busy year round. |
