Description

Somboon 3 and her sister boat Somboon 4 have made diving the Similan Islands a lot easier, with their unique flexible schedules, allowing guests to stay on the boat for however long they want. The schedules allow for everything from a one day experience with two dives, or a full four or five day trip taking in the best dive sites around the Similan Islands. Somboon 3 is a large comfortable boat designed to sleep a maximum of 28 customers in twelve twin bed cabins and two double bed cabins.

Somboon 3 features a large well laid out dive deck, with plenty of space for equipment storage. The experienced crew will look after you both above and below the water, with the onboard chef serving up delicious food three times a day, and the experienced dive guides showing you the hidden delights of these islands, you are in great hands.

There are 12 Twin Share cabins and 2 double bed cabins.

Somboon 3 has 6 bathrooms onboard, all with hot water showers, sinks, mirrors and complementary shower gel and shampoo. There are also two fresh water showers located at the rear of the dive deck for you to wash off after the dive.

All Meals are served on the upper deck and are served as a buffet.

Toast, biscuits, sweets and cakes are also provided throughout the day.

Soft Drinks and Beer is also available on board for a small charge.

As with all liveaboard's the food is of a very high standard, and if there is one thing for certain, it is that you will not go hungry.

Schedule

Somboon 3 has a flexible schedule that allows customers to stay in the Similan's for as long as they want. How do they do this? The liveaboard boat stays in the Similan's permanently and customers are transfered to the boat daily via mini-bus and speedboat. Customers can go for as little as 1 day, or can stay for 3,4,5 nights or more, its up to you.

:   6 AM Pick up at your hotel transfer to Thap Lamu
                                  8 AM - 8:30 AM Transfer from Thap Lamu to Similan Islands Via Speedboat
                                  9 AM - 10 AM Arrive Similan Islands, set up dive equipment, dive briefings
                                  10:30 AM Dive 1
                                  12 PM Lunch
                                  1:30 PM Dive 2
                                   3 PM Day Trip Customers transfer back to Phuket, arrive hotels 6-7 PM.
                                   3:30 - 4 PM Dive 3

Special Note: Somboon 3 cruises around the Similan Islands, and on every Wednesday and Sunday the boat will be situated at Koh Bon , Thailand's number one dive site for Manta Ray sightings. Please make sure you book early for these trips as spaces do go very quickly.

Please note that the following is not included :
  • Similans National Park Fee...
    • 400 Baht for entry into the Similans (divers and non-divers) plus...
    • 200 Baht per diver per day
    • SSD3 example... if you do a 3-day diving liveaboard on SSD3, the National Park Fee is 1,000 Baht; 3 days x 200 Baht + 400 Baht Entry
    • Please note that the National Park Fee is set by the National Park and is subject to change without notice.
  • Equipment Rental:
    • Full Set special package price: 500 Baht per set per day
    • Individual parts if you don’t need a full set...
