I first met Alex on Koh Mook where I got my first PADI certification. Learing to dive in my mid 50s I was a
little nervous but Alex's training technique put me at rest. He was thorough but he made it fun. Since
then we have been back to Thailand multiple times and Alex has been a great help and a wealth of information
on diving in Thai waters and travelling around Phuket. We've had some great liveaboard trips to the
Similans which Alex arranged. He and his lovely wife So are a lot of fun to spend time with and we have
referred friends to them and never regretted it. We have about a hundred dives in now and it all started in
Koh Mook. Thanks Alex for making it all possible!! |

I've just returned from a couple of weeks in Phuket (Nov/Dev 07), during which I took my PADI Advanced Open
Water qualification with Alex. I can't recommend his diving instruction enough.
I only did my Open Water
last year but Alex was able to bring my diving skills on a long way, also refreshing my basic skills without
going over stuff I was already comfortable with. I particularly recommend Alex's tips on underwater
photography.
My girlfriend, an experienced BSAC diver, was able to join me on my qualifying dives and
Alex ensured that these were at some first class sites: tonnes of live coral, turtles, rays, barracuda,
frogfish, lion and scorpion fish and a wreck teeming with wildlife, plus lots more.
Aside from the diving,
Alex and his lovely wife So were enormously helpful for the rest of our trip. I arranged my course via the
website a couple of days beforehand and they were there waiting for our (delayed) flight at Phuket airport a
couple of days later, having kindly offered to save us the hassle of booking a hotel transfer on arrival.
From then on, Alex and So were not only our dive guides, but our guides to Phuket itself, telling us over
drinks about Thai culture, things to see and do on the island, good restaurants and bars...and why every taxi
driver has The Eagles playing on his stereo!
When we come back to Asia, we'll definitely be in touch to
organise future diving trips. Thanks for making it a fantastic holiday! |

Just a quick note to say that I had a wonderful 3 weeks in Thailand a couple of years ago and completed the
requirements for my PADI Master Scubas certification under Alex's patient guidance. He managed to help me
overcome my fear of night diving and overhead environments.
I can only wish him well in this new venture
and look forward to being able to take advantages of the services he now provides in the near
fututre.

Alex’s diving instruction in my opinion is second to none! His technical ability, knowledge &
confidence clearly come from several years of diving experience, which from the outset gave me a huge feeling
of comfort & assurance whilst diving with him. The best part is though, that he manages to do this
without forgetting the most important thing, yes you are there to learn, but you are also there to have
FUN!
I started off with a 1 day Discover Scuba Diving course, and enjoyed it so much that I have been back
to Phuket 4 times now to continue diving with Alex and have now reached Advanced Open Water Level.
As well
as also being a keen diver Alex’s wife Sopit is a fantastic person to know! She has a great knowledge of
the Island and with her degree in tourism, will try to help you with anything you need to know when it comes
to fun out with scuba diving!
I feel extremely lucky that I stumbled across Alex’s dive shop, and I truly
believe that it’s the start of a great diving relationship – ill be calling you soon for the Rescue Course
mate!

We did our PADI Open Water with Alex - he absolutely made the course, and the dives! I couldn't recommend him
highly enough. We both felt that we were always in really safe hands which is so important but still had huge
amounts of fun!
Dinner and drinks afterwards with So and Alex were great - Alex is a goldmine for tips on
where to travel on to around Thailand too! Take care - we'll definitely be back! |

I passed my Open Water course thanks to Alex when he worked in Phi Phi. He made the whole diving experience
enjoyable because he the made the group feel like they were in safe hands yet at the same time always very
sociable and up for a laugh.
On my last visit to Phuket, I met Alex and So again. They took me diving and I
had a great time. They both made me feel very welcome and their knowledge of Thailand and the local diving
spots was fascinating. I would definitely recommend that beginners and experienced divers should take
advantage of the great service that Dive Travel Asia provides.
